(April 2007) * * * * * Could you use some help with writing? Are you struggling with an essay or dissertation? Have you been taught how to write an essay or produce a dissertation, or have you woken up to the horrible truth that you are being tested on what you haven't actually been taught? I am offering a new 'help with writing' service - I call it 'coaching in writing' - to anyone who realises there's something missing from their education. My speciality is helping people who need to get something written and who know roughly what they want to say, but find difficulty in expressing it neatly and cogently. I have years of experience in helping students to sort their ideas out, overcome blocks to writing, and produce the document they are tasked to produce, quickly! I can't write an essay or dissertation for you. You have to provide the raw material - the content, the subject matter. But I can and do provide the know-how, the turning-thinking-into-writing skill, that helps you turn that raw material into a finished document. Who is this service for? I work with postgraduate and undergraduate students who have essays, reports, dissertations and theses to produce. We often find ourselves starting by deciphering a convoluted essay topic, or clarifying the objective of a research project. In a nutshell, I provide the tutoring and support that your teachers ought to give you but are too busy and overstretched to supply. I can't do it for free, of course, but my rates are economical and experience shows it is possible to cover a great deal of ground in a short space of time.
